Ajit Varghese quits Madison Media

Madison Media will see some changes in its senior management. Ajit Varghese, COO of Madison Infinity, a sub-brand that was created in April 2004, has put in his papers. Varghese has completed over seven years at the agency and is currently serving his notice period.

Punitha Arumugam, CEO, Madison Media, confirmed the development saying, “It is sad to see a resource like Ajit, who was groomed at Madison, leave the agency. But it is over seven years now since he has been with us.”

Asked whether a replacement has been identified, she said, “Unlike other agencies which have to look externally to fill senior vacancies, Madison Media has believed in and groomed enough resources internally. We are working out details right now and will make a few announcements in two days.”

As for Varghese, he is still not ready to divulge his destination next. He said, “I have still not signed anything, so there is nothing to talk about yet. I am here at Madison for some more time. I am today what the agency has made me.”

The only thing known is that unlike some of the recent exits from the media agency business, Varghese is expected to remain in this business.
