Ajit Menon joins Dalmia Bharat Group

Ajit Menon joins Dalmia Bharat Group as Executive Director – Group Head of HR to lead its excellence drive for domestic implementations. Menon will be based in New Delhi.

In addition, Menon will be heading the Centre of Excellence of Organisation Effectiveness, Centre of Excellence for Recruitment and Centre of Excellence of Compensation, Policies and Benefits at Dalmia Bharat Group. The business HR heads of Corporate, Cement, Sugar and Refractory will be functionally reporting to Menon.

“The outstanding abilities and experience of Ajit Menon will not only strengthen the role of HR in the organisation, but will also inculcate the values of learning, excellence, teamwork and speed among future business leaders of Dalmia Bharat,” said Puneet Dalmia, Managing Director, Dalmia Cement (Bharat).

Menon brings 25 years of industry experience and has been associated with renowned organisations such as DDB Mudra Group, Nirvana Business Solutions and Leela Group.

Commenting on his new role, Menon said, “I am delighted to be part of Dalmia Bharat Group and look forward to continuing the positive momentum achieved by the organisation.”

Menon, an Aeronautical Engineer from ATCI and Master’s degree holder in Business Management from Washington University is conferred with many awards. In 2011, he was honoured with ‘Exemplary Leader’ award at Asia’s Best Employer Brand Awards. He has recently been conferred the Rashtriya Udyog Ratna by National Education and Human Resources Organisation and the Pride of HR award by Employer Brand Awards.

The group released the Little Hearts online-only campaign, #BreakSomeHearts, early this year and is on the path to make many more of its brands available on the digital platform
