Ajay Mankotia joins NDTV as President-Corporate Planning & Operations

NDTV has brought in Ajay Mankotia as President-Corporate Planning and Operations. In his new role, Mankotia will be part of the management team overseeing corporate planning and strategy. He will head the Shared Services Centre and be in charge of compliance, including tax planning and compliance across the Group.

Commenting on Mankotia’s appointment, KVL Narayan Rao, CEO, NDTV Group, said, “It’s a privilege for the NDTV Group to have Ajay on board. His rich experience in Government and taxation makes him the ideal person to supervise matters relating to compliance, corporate structures and multi jurisdictional taxation, and also assist the Group in matters relating to policy, ethics and governance.”

“I am delighted to have this opportunity and it’s an honour to be a part of NDTV. The company is growing rapidly, both globally and in India, in areas beyond news. It’s an exciting time to be part of the core management team,” Mankotia said.

Prior to his appointment in NDTV, Mankotia was Commissioner of Income Tax, Varanasi. With significant experience in assessing banks, financial institutions, PSUs and foreign companies in the last 25 years, he has had several successful projects to his credit. He has also played a key role in effectively dealing with huge levels of tax evasion and fraud as member of the Delhi and Mumbai investigation wings. He was also the Chief Vigilance Officer with the National Fertilizers Ltd, a Mini Ratna PSU.
