Ajay Gupte quits Maxus to join OnMobile

It is learnt from sources close to the development that Ajay Gupte has quit Maxus to join OnMobile, a mobile Value Added Service company, as Client Services Manager. He is likely to join his new assignment by the middle of September and will be based in Delhi. At Maxus, Gupte was General Manager, Delhi.

Mobile marketing is in a nascent stage across the globe, and India is seen as a country which will contribute immensely to its growth.

At Maxus, Gupte was looking at businesses including Nokia, Dabur, Monte Carlo and GAIL. Prior to Maxus, he was with TVS Motor Company. Gupte, a graduate from MICA, began his career with Mudra Bangalore. He spent close to two years at Madison Media, where he primarily handled the BPL business, following which he joined TVS Motor Company.

It may be recalled that Debraj Tripathy, who has been an old WPP hand and has worked with Maxus Delhi, too, has also recently joined OnMobile as Head of Mobile Marketing.
