Ajay Gupta quits Express to join Businessworld as National Circulation Head

Ajay Gupta, Assistant General Manager-Sales, with the Indian Express Group, has quit. He has joined Businessworld as Head-Circulation. He will be responsible for Businessworld's circulation nationally, and will report to V Natrajan, Business Head.

Gupta's stint with media includes seven and a half years with India Today and two years with the Express Group. Prior to India Today, he was with Godfrey Phillips for three years. "The magazine experience coupled with the newspaper experience has been fruitful," he said.

On his new assignment, he said, "It is going to be extremely challenging. I hope to take Businessworld to new heights."

Businessworld is part of the ABP Group, one of the largest media conglomerates in the country and the biggest in the East. Apart from the flagship Anandabazar Patrika, ABP also publishes The Telegraph, the leading English daily in the eastern market.
