Agnello Dias elevated as Chief Creative Officer of JWT

JWT is ensuring that Agnello Dias is busier than usual. From a National Creative Director, the agency has now announced Dias as Chief Creative Officer. Colvyn Harris, CEO, JWT India, has confirmed the development.

Harris said, “The decision has been taken to differentiate Agnello’s role at the agency. He will now be the Chief Creative Officer for the agency and will have a team that will include the various ECDs under him. We are very delighted to have Agnello operate as the chief of our creative team at the agency.”

Previously, JWT had brought in two NCDs on board creating the trend of dual NCDs, when asked whether the agency would follow a similar trend of having two Chief Creative Officers, Harris replied that JWT would have only one Chief Creative Officer – Agnello Dias.

Dias has been associated with the agency since 2005. Some of his recent works include the much talked about Nike Street campaign and the Lead India campaign for the Times of India Group. Last year, JWT had also announced Dias as the Global Creative Director of Unilever’s detergent brand Radiant.

Prior to JWT, Dias was with Leo Burnett for 11 years as ECD. After Leo Burnett, Dias joined JWT as Vice-President and Executive Creative Director in 2005. In 2007, with Josy Paul coming on board, both Dias and Paul were named as NCDs.
