Aditya Atri, Senior VP & General Manager, India, MRM Worldwide & Momentum Worldwide, is set to join Reliance Retail by early April. In Reliance he would be based in Mumbai and report to Muralidhara Kadaba, CEO of the Membership, Finance and Travel (MFT) vertical.
In Reliance he would be responsible for looking after the marketing of the financial and travel product. He would also be responsible for the marketing of loyalty and analytics as well as consumer experience.
Atri had been heading the MRM Worldwide & Momentum Worldwide operations across three offices in India since 2002, leading a team of over 55. MRM Worldwide is one of the fastest growing relationship marketing agencies in India. MRM delivers marketing solutions in three key operational areas – relationship marketing, online marketing and data solutions.
Atri has been in the communication business for over 20 years, of which nearly 16 years were with McCann World Group. He began his communication career with Frank Simoes Advertising, and joined McCann Erickson World Group in 1992. He has also worked as a strategy planner for the Observer Group.
“I enjoyed my time at McCann World Group for close to 16 years. New opportunities offer greater challenges and, therefore, I am moving ahead to take these challenges in my stride,” said Atri.
He has worked across advertising, relationship, digital and experiential marketing across geographies in India. Over this period, he has managed integrated communication programmes across categories and geographies. Atri has worked across various categories, including automobiles, male grooming, household care, financial services, airlines, hotels, tourism and media.
He has handled a host of well-known clients during his career span, including General Motors, Gillette, Reckitt & Colman, Nestle, Hero Honda, Bridgestone, Barclays, UTI Bank (now Axis Bank), Virgin Atlantic, Taj Hotels, Lufthansa, Maruti Suzuki, Intel, Microsoft, ESPN, and India Today Group, among others.
