Bennett Coleman & Company Ltd (BCCL) has brought about a change in the role of A P Parigi, CEO of Entertainment Network India Ltd (ENIL). Parigi has been on the board of ENIL as Managing Director, and on the boards of Times Now and Times Internet. He has now been inducted into the board of BCCL as a Director.
Parigi’s role and responsibilities include spearheading Times Group's foray into FM radio broadcasting, event management, out-of-home advertising and filmed entertainment. He lead manages businesses and brands like Radio Mirchi, 360 Degrees and Times OOH Media. He is also the Managing Director and CEO of Times Infotainment Media Ltd, which is also a subsidiary of BCCL.
Parigi’s induction into the BCCL board comes at a time when BCCL old hand Arun Arora, who was working with the organisation as Executive President, has decided to step down from the executive role. Arora, too, is on the board of various BCCL companies and it is not known if there would be any change in that with this development.
However, two units that were under Arora – Times Music and Planet M – have come under the direct supervision of Parigi. No official comments were available at the time of filing the report.
The two companies under ENIL per se are ENIL, which manages Radio Mirchi, and Times Innovative Media Pvt Ltd, which has Times OOH and events company 360 Degree.
Parigi holds a Masters degree in business administration from the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi. He also holds a Bachelors degree in Economics and a Masters degree in Sociology from Delhi School of Economics.
In the last three decades, he has held senior positions in various industries, including telecom. Prior to joining the Times Group, Parigi was CEO of BPL Mobile, Mumbai. He's been an active member of the Confederation of Indian Industry and Federation of Indian Chambers and Commerce Industry.
