‘Open’ magazine ropes in Deepa Gopinath as Associate Publisher

Deepa Gopinath is joining Open Media Network as Associate Publisher. She will be heading the Ad Sales function nationally. She is moving from Images Consumer Media, where she is COO. R Rajmohan, Publisher, Open Media Network, has confirmed this development to exchange4media.

Rajmohan said, “Deepa comes with a vast exposure of having handled magazines of various genres. Her rich experience, which is a combination of current affairs weekly magazines and lifestyle magazines, would be a huge advantage in marketing ‘Open’ to the right set of brands.”

A post graduate in marketing from Times School of Marketing, Gopinath started her career with The Times of India. Subsequently, she worked with Ogaan Publishing (Publishers of ‘Elle’ and ‘Elle Décor’ magazines) before moving to TBWA\India in Business Development, post which she joined the Outlook Group to handle ‘Outlook’ and ‘Outlook Traveller’ magazines. Her last assignment at the Outlook Group was as National Head of Ad Sales for ‘Newsweek’.

Gopinath has been with the Images Group for over three and a half years. Images Consumer Media publishes men’s lifestyle magazine ‘M’ and the Indian edition of décor title ‘Living’.
