VIA OOH has added multiple properties in Delhi, Gurgaon and Mumbai in the past month. These include 18 billboards in Delhi, Gurgaon and Mumbai. It has also added public utilities in areas like Nehru Place and ITO in Delhi. VIA has the Oberoi Flyover billboard in Delhi, and is putting up key sites in Andheri and Lokhandwala in Mumbai. The public utilities include toilet blocks built and used in Delhi in the infrastructure domain.
Via OOH is a venture set up by Farid Kureshi. Shamik Talukder is the Founding Member.
Commenting on the new acquisitions, Kureshi, Founder of VIA OOH, said, “We are reasonably pleased with the progress of the company in the last 90 days of its existence. While adding new sites to our portfolio, we are working on a few brand-specific innovations in OOH, which we will announce shortly. We are led by quality, not quantity, and thus, will strive to build upon and expand in the premium segment. Some of the key clients who have advertised with us include Volkswagen, Canon, Hindustan Times, Sony Entertainment Television, MTV, and Kotak Bank, to name a few.”
He further said, “Delhi NCR and Mumbai alone account for 65 per cent of all OOH spends in India. Thus, VIA is focusing on these two key markets for now. Starting next year, VIA will expand into South and East. We have made financial commitment of $2 million for about 12 properties in Delhi NCR and six properties in Mumbai.”
VIA is now operational in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore, and has signed on important assets in key markets. The company would build a network of premier OOH properties in these three metros in the first phase and other Tier II cities in the second phase. The company would have owned properties as also marketing tie-ups for other properties. VIA also proposes to consolidate and build a network of billboards, street furniture and transport through marketing tie-ups, tendering process and partnership with infrastructure players.
