Two new categories introduced at Outdoor Advertising Awards 2006

Outdoor Advertising Awards (OAA) 2006 will see the addition of two more categories to include printing and media planning functions. Entries are currently being accepted with the last date being May 15, 2006.

Entries are invited for 16 categories, nine of which are product / service categories, three for best use of outdoor media formats and one each for Campaign of the Year, Media Owner of the Year, Printer of the Year and Media Plan of the Year. There are two awards, gold and silver, and a merit certificate in each of the categories.

Said Vasant Jante, Project Head, Outdoor Advertising Convention (OAC), “We have added two new categories this year, for printers and media planners, with which there is now scope for awarding every contribution that goes into ensuring the success of an outdoor advertising campaign.”

OAA 2005 attracted over 285 entries in 14 categories from agencies across the country. In all, 37 gold, silver and merit certificates were given away of a total possible of 42 awards across 14 categories in the first edition of the awards.

OAA 2006 is the second edition of India’s only exclusive awards event for creativity in outdoor advertising. The awards function will be held in Mumbai on June 10. The Awards will be the finale of the Outdoor Advertising Convention, India’s conventions and awards forum for the outdoor advertising industry.
