Times OOH, Supri, Big Street, Rajdeep Publicity, Jaikumar Asociates, and DS Mittal & Das Offshores are the final bidders in the fray for the 1.3 km Mumbai Skywalk that connects Bandra station with Kalanagar. The bid has been called by MMRDA for outdoor advertising along the Skywalk.
The bid had attracted 16 players, of which these six have been shortlisted. Being a media first in the OOH sector, the bid includes a minimum upfront payment of Rs 13.68 crore, the total amount for the 10-year outdoor advertising contract.
Sources close to the development informed exchange4media that each of the qualified players had made an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of Rs 1.5 crore to MMRDA.
Apart from that, the tender also has an add-on cost that the winner has to bear in addition to the upfront payment of Rs 13.68 crore. The add-ons include two lifts (which can carry 20 people at one time), two lavatories, CCTVs, guards, vending machines, and electricity bills.
The winner of this bid is expected to be announced on August 4 or 5.
