Outdoor advertising industry under the scanner

Stage is set for the OOH 2011 Conference on Outdoor Advertising & Digital Signage in Delhi on February 25. The conference will have leading OOH industry experts discuss the outlook for the industry, the challenges and opportunities. exchange4media has tied up with network2media to present this inaugural exchange4media Group initiative.

The conference will commence with the keynote address by Steve Ridley, Global CEO, Kinetic Worldwide, on the Global Outlook for Outdoor Media 2011. This session will be chaired by Sunder Hemrajani, MD, Times OOH. Ridley has spent 25 years in the field of OOH media both in the UK and the US. He ran UK specialist agency Outdoor Focus from 1993. He moved to the US to become President of Poster Publicity in 1999 and took the helm of Kinetic’s US operations upon its founding in 2005.

This will be followed by a panel discussion on ‘Challenges of Planning & Buying Outdoor Media in India’. The discussion will be moderated by Noomi Mehta, MD, Selvel Advertising and the panelists include Amit Tiwari, Country Head, Media, Philips India; Nabendu Bhattacharyya , MD, Milestone Brandcom; Haresh Nayak, MD, Posterscope India; Rajul Kulshreshtha, MD, Kinetic India; and Pawan Bansal, CEO, Jagran Engage.

Tom Green, President, Life Pattern Digital will present a keynote address on Making Digital Signage Work for Your Brand. The session will be chaired by Ishan Raina, CEO, OOH Media. Green has over 20 years of sales experience in the digital OOH, place based, cable TV and radio mediums as well as traditional packaged goods sales. In September of 2008, he launched Life Pattern Digital Media LLC, a media rep and consulting firm specialising in the Digital OOH space. LPDM has generated over $3.7 million in billings for client networks and has consulted on several new DOOH network launches.

The conference will conclude with a panel discussion on ‘Innovation & Technology: The Future of OOH’. Speakers at this session include Madhuri Sapru, WIC, Encyclomedia; Pramod Bhandula, MD, JCDecaux India; Indrajit Sen, CEO, Laqshya Outdoor; Rajan Mehta, CEO, LiveMedia; and Suresh Narsimha, CEO, TeliBrahma. The discussion will be moderated by Ashish Bhasin, Chairman – India & CEO – South East Asia, Aegis Media.
