Ogilvy Landscapes re-appointed OOH AoR for Canara HSBC OBC Life Insurance biz

Ogilvy Landscapes has won the out of home business of Canara HSBC Oriental Bank of Commerce Life Insurance Company Ltd second time in a row. Ogilvy Landscapes had won this business in a multi-agency pitch for the first time in 2008, when the company was planning to launch its insurance products. The client had invited 10 OOH specialist agencies.

Rajesh Badani, Country Head, Ogilvy Landscapes, said, “As OOH was the primary media for the launch, the challenge was to work on an OOH strategy to induce the bank customers to the branches of these three banks, where they could get to purchase the insurance products, as these products were being sold only through bank branches of these three banks.”

Canara HSBC Oriental Bank of Commerce Life Insurance Company Ltd is a joint venture with Canara Bank holding 51 per cent equity, while HSBC Insurance (Asia Pacific) Holdings Ltd has 26 per cent stake and Oriental Bank of Commerce has 23 per cent stake. The company had commenced its operations in 2008.
