Obit: SS Balaji, SVP at Bates (OOH), passes away

SS Balaji, Senior Vice President at Bates (OOH), passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2012. He had met with an accident at the Karnataka-Kerala border while driving alone from Bangalore to Wayanad in Kerala.

A seasoned OOH professional, Balaji had been with the media and advertising industry for two decades. He was given the charge of heading the new business development in the entire spectrum of OOH at Aaren Initiative, the OOH arm of Lintas Media Group, in February 2011. He had worked in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.

Bala, as he was affectionately known, had endeared himself to many in the industry and outside by his humane approach. The cremation was held in Bangalore on Saturday, September 8. Bala leaves behind his mother, wife and a daughter.

Those who know Bala can send their personal tributes and photographs to a specially created Gmail account – His friends intend to compile all of them and present it as a Tribute Book to his family.
