Northern Railways offers 5-yr ad rights for interior & exterior of Shatabdi Express

The Delhi division of Northern Railways has invited tenders under the ‘two-packet’ system for sole advertising rights through vinyl wrapping of interiors and exteriors of the Shatabdi Express. The rights also include advertising in the ‘on-board’ infotainment system in the Shatabdi trains, along with upgradation and provision of passenger interfaces. The ‘two-packet-system’ bidding involves a technical bid and a financial bid.

The display rights offered include rights for vinyl wrapping on five rakes containing 92 coaches, upgradation of passenger interfaces in these coaches, comprehensive and mechanised coach cleaning and on-board housekeeping services. The contract shall be awarded for a period of five years.

To be eligible for the contract, the applicants must have sufficient experience in work related to vinyl wrapping in aviation, airports, railways, roadways or any other similar sectors. Relevant experience certificates to this effect will have to be submitted by the applicants along with the completed bid documents.

The financial capability criteria specified requires that the interested parties have received similar contracts for a value equivalent to 1.5 times of the total reserve price during the current and the last three financial years.

The tender documents are worth Rs 10,000 and can be procured till 3 pm on July 21, 2010. The completed tender forms should reach the office of Northern Railways in Delhi by 3 pm on July 22, 2010.
