Northern Railway invites tenders for branding of Taj Commonwealth Express

Northern Railway has invited sealed tenders for branding of the Taj Commonwealth Express through exterior vinyl wrapping on 14 (LHB) coaches. The scope of the project also provides the opportunity of exhibit placements inside 12 coaches of the train. The approximate cost of the project is Rs 1.17 crore and the earnest money deposit (EMD) required is Rs 208,500. The project will have to be completed within 15 days.

Under the terms, applicants will have to quote the rates for designing the exterior branding scheme for 14 coaches (11 chair car, one executive car and two power car LHB coaches). They will also have to provide the internal display scheme for 12 coaches (11 chair car and one executive car LHB coaches). Applicants must have sufficient experience in executing similar contracts and are required to submit a list of completed projects and projects under execution along with the values and agreement numbers.

The technical capability criteria specified requires that the interested parties should have successfully completed at least one similar project for a minimum value of 35 per cent of the advertised tender value during the current financial year and three previous completed financial years, up to the date of opening of the tender.

The financial capability criteria specified requires that the parties should have received the total contractual payments of value not less than 150 per cent of the advertised cost of work against satisfactory execution of all completed/ ongoing works of all types during the current financial year and the last three completed financial years, up to the date of opening the tender.

The EMD will have to be deposited in cash, deposit receipt, pay order or through a demand draft. If the EMD is paid through pay order or demand draft, the same should be drawn on SBI or any nationalised/ scheduled bank. The drafts should be favouring – The FA & CAO, Northern Railway, Baroda House, New Delhi, payable at New Delhi.

Tender documents can be purchased from The Chief Public Relations Officer, Northern Railway, State Entry Road, New Delhi, on any working day up to September 15, 2010 on the cash payment of Rs 2,000.

If the tender documents are downloaded from the website, the document charges can be paid through a bank draft drawn in favour of – FA & CAO, Northern Railway, Baroda House, New Delhi, along with the completed tender documents.

Applicants are required to submit the duly completed tenders to the office of the Chief Public Relations Officer, Northern Railway, State Entry Road, New Delhi, by 3 pm on September 15, 2010.
