North Eastern Railway invites tenders for ad rights within Izatnagar division

North Eastern Railway has invited sealed open tenders from ad agencies, offering display advertisement rights through various media formats such as display boards, hoardings and glow signs as approved by the site plan for different railway stations within the Izatnagar division. The contract shall be awarded for a period of three years.

As per the tender notice, the railway authorities will be issuing individual tenders for platforms and circulating areas of each station and the interested parties are required to submit their tenders for platforms and circulating areas separately for each station. The parties have an option of submitting the tenders for one or any number of stations as per their individual preference.

To be eligible for the contract, the applicants should have their own offices registered and incorporated for the advertising business. They should have adequate experience in the advertising business. They should also have executed at least a single contract of a minimum value equivalent to 35 percent of the value of the current tender during the last three financial years.

The applicants should have a minimum annual turnover from the advertising business equal to 1.5 times of the reserve price of the zone for which they are bidding. Supporting documents to this effect will have to be furnished along with the bid.

However, the above mentioned criterion is not applicable for bids having a value of less than Rs. 10 lakh.

Interested parties shall submit the EMD either in cash at Izatnagar station or through a demand draft or cash order drawn in favour of FA & CAO/NE Railway, Izatnagar on any nationalized or scheduled bank.

The license fee from the second year onwards shall bear an annual escalation of 10 percent over the previous year.

The tender forms costing Rs. 100 for each station along with detailed terms and conditions can obtained from the office of Divisional Railway Manager, Commercial, Izatnagar, on any working day up to 5pm on July 31, 2010 by submitting the cash receipt. The cash receipt can be procured from the booking office, Izatnagar Railway station.

If the tender forms are downloaded from the website, the cost of tender documents can be paid through a demand draft favouring the Finance Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer, NE Railway, Izatnagar.

Duly completed tender forms will have to be submitted to the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, North Eastern Railway, Izatnagar by 3.30 pm on July 30, 2010. The tenders will be opened the same day at 4 pm.
