MP Tourism invites EOIs for conducting laser show in Bhopal

Madhya Pradesh Tourism has invited EOIs under the ‘two-packet’ system from competent parties for conducting a laser show on the Upper Lake in Bhopal in the month of December this year. The purpose of the show is to commemorate the Millennium celebration of Raja Bhoj. The earnest money deposit (EMD) required is Rs 1 lakh.

The show is aimed at showcasing the life history of Raja Bhoj in a vibrant theme befitting a great king in front of about 50,000 spectators. The entire show will be conducted in the form of a composite package with various components such as a beam show of five minutes, a laser show of 15 minutes, followed by another beam show of five minutes, and so on. Additionally, a 100’ X 40’ water screen, electronically triggered fireworks, array of sound system with mixers, trussing, etc., will also have to be arranged and installed by the successful bidder.

The entire show should be visible to the spectators around a 30-40 degree arc of the upper lake boundary with the focal point being the MPT Boat Club. The show will be conducted for one day with the second day being optional.

The EMD of Rs 1 lakh will have to be deposited through a demand draft favouring the Managing Director, MP Tourism, payable at Bhopal. The demand draft should be drawn from any nationalised bank.

Duly completed EOIs can be dropped in the specified tender box placed at the reception of Paryatan Bhawan, Bhadbhada Road, Bhopal, or can be sent by registered post to reach the above mentioned office latest by 3 pm on November 15, 2010.

The technical bids will be opened at 3.30 pm on the same day, while the price bid will be opened the following day at 3.30 pm.
