MMRDA offers ad rights for skywalks in and around Mumbai

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has invited sealed bids from agencies for leasing out ad display rights on various skywalks in and around Mumbai. The total space being offered through these tenders is approximately 50,000 sq. m. The tenders have been divided into 22 individual items. The contracts shall be awarded for a period of two years.

The locations include: Bandra (East) Railway FOB to Kalanagar and Bandra Court; Bandra (West) Railway FOB to Lucky Restaurant; Talab and Badi Masjid, Santacruz (East) Railway FOB to WEH flyover Bridge; Santacruz (W) Railway FOB to S.V. Road along K.K. Road Borivali (West); Tejprakash Building near the subway on PF-7 to S.V. Road junction on Dattapada Road; from the island near Goragandhi Apartment on S.V. Road to Dattapada road junction; from Sai Niketan Apartment to Cosmos Bank on Chandavarkar Lane; Dahisar (West) Railway FOB to L.T. Road Vithal Mandir; and Mira Road (East) Saiyed Hamid Chowk to Railway FOB on Virar side.

Interested parties will be required to submit separate tenders for each project. A pre-bid meeting will be held at 3 pm on August 23, 2010 in the chamber of the Chief Engineer, MMRDA, Bandra - Kurla complex, Bandra (east), Mumbai.

Bidders must have an average annual turnover ranging from Rs 1 crore to Rs 5 crore during the last three financial years. This turnover should have been achieved for any one of the previous three financial years preceding March 31, 2010. Additionally, the agency must be eligible and competent to enter into contracts under the Indian Contract Act of 1872.

Bid documents can be obtained from the office of the Chief Engineer, Engineering Division, MMRDA, 5th floor, Plot No.C-14 &15, Bandra - Kurla Complex, Bandra (East), Mumbai from August 16-27, 2010, between 11 am and 4 pm on all working days.

Bid documents will be issued on payment of Rs 10,000. This amount can be paid through a demand draft or PO favouring ‘MMRD FUND’ drawn on any nationalised or scheduled bank, payable at Mumbai.

Duly completed bids will have to be submitted to the office of the Chief Engineer, Engineering Division, MMRDA, latest by 3 pm on August 31, 2010. The technical bids will be opened at 3.30 pm the same day.
