MMRDA offers ad rights for 8 Western Express Highway flyovers

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has invited bids from interested agencies for leasing out ad display rights on eight flyovers on the Western Express Highway in Mumbai. The space being offered through this tender is 1880 sq. m. The tender has been divided into eight individual packages. Each package consists of one flyover. The contract shall be awarded for five years.

Interested parties will be required to submit separate tenders for each package. The pre-bid meeting will be held at 11.30 am on July 19, 2010 in the office of the Chief Engineer, Engineering Division, MMRDA.

The package wise flyover locations along with the area offered and EMD required are: The Airport junction flyover, Santacruz requires an EMD of Rs 480 lakh; Dindoshi junction flyover, Goregaon requires an EMD of Rs 240 lakh each; Times of India flyover, Malad requires an EMD of Rs 120 lakh; Thakur Complex flyover, Kandivali requires EMD of Rs 240 lakh; Bhor flyover, Kandivali needs an EMD of Rs 200 lakh; Shiv Vallabh junction flyover, Borivali requires an EMD of Rs 200 lakh; SN Dubey Junction flyover, Dahisar requires an EMD of Rs 200 lakh; Suhasini Pawaskar junction flyover, Dahisar needs an EMD of Rs 200 lakh.

As per the eligibility criteria, the agencies need to have an average annual turnover of Rs 2 crore during the last three financial years. Additionally, the contract requires a solvency of Rs 1 crore.

The tender documents can be obtained from the office of the Chief Engineer, Engineering Division, MMRDA, 5th floor, Plot No.C-14 &15, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Bandra (East), Mumbai from July 7 to August 6, 2010, between 10 am and 3 pm on all working days upon payment of Rs 10,000 for separate documents for each package. This fee can be paid through a demand draft favouring ‘MMRD FUND’, payable at Mumbai.

Duly completed tender forms will have to be submitted to the office of the Chief Engineer, Engineering Division, MMRDA, latest by 1 pm on August 10, 2010.
