MMRDA invites bids for ad displays on Eastern & Western Express highways

MMRDA (Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority) has invited sealed bids from the outdoor agencies, for leasing out the commercial rights to display advertisements on 15 FOBs (foot over bridges) on Eastern and Western Express highways in Mumbai. The tender has been divided in two packages. The package one consists of six FOBs located on Eastern Express Highway and package two consists of nine FOBs on Western Express Highway.

The areas specified for displaying advertisements are 966 sq. m for package one and 1822 sq. m for package two. Variance up to 5 percent of the specified advertisement space has been allowed without any extra cost to the bidder. However, for any variance over 5 per cent, the contract value shall be adjusted on a pro-rata basis. The contract shall be awarded for two years.

The eligibility criteria as per the tender notice specifies that only those having an average annual turnover of Rs 10 crore during the last three financial years ending March 31, 2010 would be eligible for the contract. Additionally, the contract requires a solvency of Rs 4 crore. The tender will open on May 26, 2010.
