Maheshwari Advertising, a Madhya Pradesh-based 35-year old OOH agency, has recently bagged the sole rights for displaying ads on Star City buses in Jabalpur. Thirty Star City buses have been recently introduced which are owned by private operators and controlled by Jabalpur City Transport Services Ltd.
A tender was floated by Jabalpur City Transport Services Ltd three months’ back for the ad display contract, which saw the participation of 5-7 local players whose names could not be ascertained at the time of filing the report. Maheshwari Advertising emerged the winner with a bid amount of around Rs 1.5 crore.
Sunil Maheshwari, Managing Director, Maheshwari Advertising, said, “Our strength, reputation, background and performance helped us in bagging the contract.” The agency has bagged the contract for five years.
Maheshwari further said, “Jabalpur has very few outdoor media options. The town only had hoardings so far, which are also in a bit of a problem because of the litigation happening between the Corporation and media owners. Hence, there is hardly any outdoor media available in Jabalpur. This media would give support to clients who are willing to go to outdoor, hence the introduction of these buses is very good news. Clients are willing to adopt this media because it is a guaranteed media for them.”
At present, telecom, insurance, automobile companies, educational institutes and cement companies are some of the sectors that have shown interest in this property.
For the record, Maheshwari Advertising has outdoor properties, including hoardings, pole kiosks, bus shelters, bus branding, flex printing unit. The company is looking at more options to keep pace with the clients’ demands for more innovative solutions in outdoors.
The company is also seeking partnerships with national and international players for expanding further media in the state.
