Stage is set for the fourth edition of exchange4media’s OOH Conference & Awards on March 20, 2014 in Gurgaon. The event will see the best work in OOH advertising in 2013 being honoured, while the Conference will see eminent personalities from the OOH ecosystem, both from the client and agency side, discuss various topics pertinent to the OOH industry.
Farrokh Madon, Chief Creative Officer, Y&R Singapore; Ron Graham, Chief Consultant, Media On The Go; and Pratap Bose, COO, DDB Mudra Group will be the keynote speakers this year.
Farrokh Madon, Chief Creative Officer, Y&R Singapore
In a career spanning Singapore, Amsterdam and India, Farrokh Madon has garnered over 150 prestigious advertising awards. These include a D&AD Silver Nomination, Grand Prix at AdFest and numerous accolades at Cannes, One Show and Spikes Asia in categories spanning outdoor, cyber, direct, promotions, press, TV, and mobile.
Work done on Madon’s watch has featured on CNN’s Anderson Cooper show and FOX TV in America. He has worked with international celebrities ranging from Jessica Alba to the inimitable Super Mario.
He was presented with the Creative Director of the Year Award in 2013 at the Institute of Advertising Singapore’s Hall of Fame Awards. Over the last decade, he is also the only creative leader to be nominated as one of Singapore’s Most Influential Creative Directors by the IAS for seven years.
Outside advertising, Madon has written a novel, which briefly sat on the topsellers’ shelf at Kinokuniya.
Ron Graham, Chief Consultant, Media On The Go
Ron Graham has more than 30 years of experience in the OOH advertising sector, starting in 1981 in the UK, where he worked with the largest OOH media contractors. In London, in the early 80’s, Graham was a key figure in the establishment of tactical campaign networks for outdoor advertising (with Poster Sales Consortium). He was also an active member on the joint industry committee for the development, launch and implementation of OSCAR, a national classification tool with audience prediction and professional planning for OOH media.
He has worked in the Asia Pacific region for 11 years as Regional Director and General Manager with the Pearl & Dean Group, based in Singapore and also spent time living and working in Hong Kong, Australia and Thailand, additionally working in China, Taiwan, Indonesia and Korea.
In 1997, Graham joined Poster Publicity and returned to Singapore. In 2005, Poster Publicity and Portland merged in Asia Pacific and he was instrumental in steering the task of scaling up the operations from their combined people, resources and offices. On completion of the merger, the agency was renamed and launched as Kinetic Worldwide, head-quartered in London.
Kinetic Worldwide has become the world’s largest out of home media specialist agency. Graham held the positions of Chief Operating Officer of Kinetic in Asia Pacific (reporting to the Asia Pacific CEO) and was a Director on the Board of Kinetic Worldwide.
In 2008, Graham left Kinetic to set up Media On The Go, a new and independent consulting business, serving the out of home media industry. Media On The Go is currently active with OOH media owners as well as industry bodies and training institutions.
Pratap Bose, COO, DDB Mudra Group & Member of Operating Board
Pratap Bose joined DDB Mudra from Ogilvy & Mather in 2008, where he had worked for 15 years in various capacities, and went on to become their youngest CEO in 2006.
He currently drives the vision and growth strategy for the DDB Mudra Group, comprising of three independent agencies – Mudra Advertising, DDB Mudra and DDB MudraMax.
Bose, in his media capacity, is also CEO of DDB MudraMax, the Group’s media, out-of-home, retail and experiential agency. In the DDB Mudra Group, he set up the Integrated Communications Planning platform and built the framework for DDB MudraMax.
Bose has quite a few awards to his name. In 2000, he won the WPP Atticus Award. He has also partnered with creative to win numerous international outdoor awards at Cannes, Clio, London International and the One Show Awards.
