Laqshya is OOH media partner of IIFA Awards

Laqshya Media has joined hands with the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) as the out-of-home media partner for IIFA Awards 2008, an annual event that promotes Indian cinema globally. The IIFA weekend comprises a press conference, FICCI-IIFA Global Business Forum, IIFA Fashion Extravaganza, IIFA World Premiere of the much-touted ‘Sarkar Raj’ and culminates with coveted IDEA IIFA Awards.

Laqshya Media has offered outdoor display panels on a pan-India basis for a 15-day campaign. It will also promote the awards on their digital screens network across India.

IIFA has grown into a major Bollywood over the last eight years. This year IIFA is being held in Bangkok, Thailand, from June 6-8. India, being the largest producer of movies in the world, it is no surprise that Indian cinema has gained prominence on the world map and the overseas market has become increasingly lucrative. Indian movies constitute one of the largest export categories from the country.

Laqshya Outdoors CEO, Soumitra Bhattacharyya, said, “IIFA has established itself as the biggest Bollywood awards extravaganza. There is also a brand synergy as both Laqshya and IIFA are Indian in origin but have global footprints. The world is a stage for both of us.”
