Flash Media Ltd, a Kolkata-based company, has recently introduced IMEDIA, a dynamic digital audio-visual signage format wherein LCD and plasma panels display commercials and ads in shopping malls, departmental stores, restaurants and pubs. IMEDIA is being introduced in all Shoppers’ Stop stores across the country in the first phase of the rollout.
Speaking on the initiative, Abhishek Kandoi, Director, Flash Media Ltd, said, “IMEDIA will offer the opportunity to advertise in a big scale in an organised retail format, where the advertisers can reach the target audience at the point of purchase.”
The format, though relatively new in the Indian market, has already gained popularity abroad.
Kandoi further said, “In the highly fragmented media scenario, it is critical to have touch point communication that reduces wastage and reaches the target group directly. Touching the mind of the consumer at its receptive best is where the real challenge lies and IMEDIA is the most innovative media option to stimulate the consumer.”
