InfoSignz, a company specialising in digital signage platform available on the web for free, is all set to launch in India on March 10. The company did a soft launch of its SaaS platform on February 1 in India. US-based InfoBeans is the parent company of InfoSignz. Following the India launch, InfoSignz would be launched globally in the second week of March.
InfoSignz is a digital display management system that helps a company connect with its customers, partners, employees, visitors, etc. The company would be headquartered in Pune, and plans to have offices in Mumbai and San Francisco.
InfoSignz’s revenue model is based on the ‘software-as-a-service’ model. The digital signage platform offers few basic components and features for free to all clients. Clients start paying only when they need advanced digital signage features like stock ticker, advanced content scheduling, multiple scroll tickers, better video quality on low connectivity, interactivity tools, etc. These premium components would be available to clients on a pay-per-use basis. InfoSignz plans to make money only on premium services.
“We did a soft launch of our SaaS platform on February 1, 2008. This was only communicated to our select clients and was not supported by any marketing and sales activity. But even during this soft launch, as people discovered, we got a lot of signups on our website www.infosignz.com. We now officially lauching the platform in India and the US, and will also start the marketing and sales activities to promote our digital signage platform across global markets,” Sethi added.
He further said, “In India, we plan to take the OOH revolution to the masses. We believe that there is a tremendous scope for large, medium and small businesses to profit from the OOH revolution and make money by partnering with us. We are talking of scale here and looking to expanding rapidly using our free model. Customers can sign up online for free at our website. Our free model can support enterprise scale digital signage networks. We further plan to bring advanced interactivity and data enabling features to the Indian marketplace, thereby, making our offering extremely lucrative.”
“We do not require our clients to make an upfront investment in the software. There is absolutely no upfront cost and very low monthly commitment, if any. Currently, we have a free version of the application and that speaks of an infinite ROI. Apart from incredible ROI, our software boasts of an extremely easy to use interface with great flexibility,” claimed Sethi.
He added, “Very soon, we will be removing the linearity in scheduling and allow scheduling based on data events, and not just time based events. Our extensible platform will soon enable our clients to write their own applications that are customised to their needs and deploy them to our servers without worrying about using professional services. It will be all self-service online.”
