DMRC invites tender for ad rights on civil structures

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has invited bids for licensing out ad rights on civil structures within the underground section from Udyog Bhawan to Saket and elevated section from Qutub Minar to Guru Dronacharya station. The contract shall be awarded for a period of five years and an EMD of Rs 17 lakh is required for this tender.

The total advertisement space being offered by DMRC is approximately 960 sq. m (Under full compliance to technical parameters of MCD/ NDMC outdoor advertising policy, 2010 or any other prevailing applicable policy). Successful bidders will be allowed to display advertisements on all locations in between stations on piers, via ducts, bridges, retaining walls, exterior walls of stations and other civil structures – excluding inside stations (whether an advertisement site falls inside the station or outside the station, will be decided by DMRC).

To be eligible for the contract, the applicants should have completed a single similar contract of Rs 5 crore or two similar contracts of Rs 2.5 crore each. Additionally, the companies should have achieved an average annual turnover of Rs 6.79 crore in the last three financial years. Documentary evidence to this effect will have to be submitted along with the tender. The applicants will be required to submit the earnest money deposit of Rs 17 lakh through a bank draft from any scheduled commercial bank.

The licensee will be required to submit an interest free security deposit for an amount equivalent to six months license fee. This amount will have to be deposited through a bank draft. The license fee and the security deposit will be escalated by 5 per cent (on compounded basis) after every year.

Tender forms can be obtained from the DMRC office up to July 28, 2010 from 10 am to 5pm on payment of Rs 21,000 through a demand from any scheduled commercial bank favouring Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd, payable at Delhi.

If the tender forms are downloaded from the website, the demand draft or pay order towards the cost of the tender documents will have to be attached with the duly completed tender documents at the time of submission.

Duly completed tender forms will have to be submitted latest by 4 pm on July 29, 2010 to the GM/operations, B-wing, 4th floor, Metro Bhawan, Fire Brigade Lane, Barakhambha Road, New Delhi-11000. The bids will be opened the same day at 4:30 pm.
