Delhi Outdoor Advertising Association meets to discuss defaulting agencies

The Delhi Outdoor Advertisers Association (DOAA) Executive Committee met on May 7, 2010, where the issue of clearing of outstanding dues by defaulter media buying agencies came up.

Speaking at the meeting, Mukesh Gupta, General Secretary, DOAA, informed about the earlier decision to clear all outstanding dues by defaulter media buying agencies by March 31, 2010, which was extended to April 15, 2010 subsequently. Gupta pointed out that the immediate strict and confident move by the DOAA management to ban all defaulter agencies after regular reminders had yielded positive results.

Gupta further said that he had personally spoken to three defaulting agencies, which then assured that they would clear their outstanding dues before June 30, 2010 and would issue post-dated cheques to all member media owners before May 15, 2010. “In case these agencies do not fulfill their commitments before May 15, they will be completely banned,” he asserted.

Gupta also noted that some outdoor media owners, who could not join the Association earlier, were approaching the Association to enroll them on the old joining fee. It was decided to open the membership and subscription for the year 2010-11on the old rate for one month till June 7, 2010.
