Crayons Communications initiates first helicopter giant banner operation in Dubai

Crayons Communications Dubai has introduced the first and biggest advertising banner to be towed by a helicopter across Dubai’s skyline. Crayons joined hands with their client Dheeraj & East Coast LLC for this unique advertising initiative. The inaugural flight undertaken by Trident Aerial, an aerial company, involved a year of planning with a Falcon Aviation Services helicopter.

“With so much clutter at the ground level, the only other obvious place for a brand to go is to the skies. Our creative team brainstormed and came up with this idea, and together with Trident Aerial and Falcon Aviation Services we were able to turn our concept into reality,” said Arshad Zaheer, Managing Director, Crayons Communications Dubai.

The banner, which began its journey from the Jumeirah Beach area, was towed past the Dubai Marina, down Sheikh Zayed Road and towards the Fairmont Hotel, where a launch party was held for this innovative advertising medium. The helicopter circled the hotel a number of times before proceeding towards Garhoud Bridge, Maktoum Bridge, and returning to Jumeirah via the Al Wasl Road, completing a one-hour journey across the Dubai landscape.

The special banner will also be seen at the Cityscape Exhibition, which will be held from October 16 to 18, where Crayons Communications will be using this mode of advertising on behalf of Dheeraj & East Coast. The entire flight will cover 18 hours of flying time during the exhibition.

Besides Dheeraj & East Coast, Crayons Communications also handles clients like the TLC Group (Continental Coffee, Super Antiseptic, Grace Sanitary Pad and Indra Ghee), Posh (Babyshop), GBP Group (Palmarosa, Riverside & Vortex, Nash), Estee Lauder and Parkvale Group, among others.
