OOH agency Clear Channel has recently added some big clients to its roster recently. These include Ultratech Cement, Birla Ready Mix Cement and The Essel Group. While the OOH agency had already been working on the Ultratech Cement and Birla Ready Mix Cement accounts, it has now been formalised with a signed AOR contract.
The Essel Group business includes a vast array of brands / products, the most prominent being Zee Network and DishTV. Playwin, WWIL, ITZ Cash and Essel World are a few other varied brands that are part of the Group business. Clear Channel India has already been working on the DNA outdoor account for close to a year now, and this brand, too, comes under the same umbrella.
According to Robin Carruthers, National Head, Clear Channel India, “We are obviously delighted to be partnering with the Essel Group on their outdoor business. More than anything else, we look forward to the opportunity and experience of working on various brands under the same banner. We will look at every opportunity to bring synergies to various campaigns across the target markets and products and brands.”
Carruthers explained, “The Ultratech Cement and Birla Ready Mix Cement business is a different category, and because of the fact the product category offeres high penetration levels, this gives us an opportunity to further expand our operations in smaller markets or towns.”
Some of the other well-known clients handled by Clear Channel include Yahoo! India, LG Electronics, Tata Indicom – Mumbai and Maharashtra circles, Indigo Airlines and Sony Ericsson.
