Out of home media agency Brand Connect announced the launch of Brand Connect Racing (BCR) last week in Mumbai. In line with this initiative, BCR has signed up upcoming race driver Advait Deodhar.
Extensive marketing plans will be unveiled shortly with sponsor tie in. The focus will be on amplification through social media, digital, television, PR and on-ground activations.
BCR has roped in former F3 winner and British racing champion Rupert Svendsen Cook as their official advisor. The team has a five-year plan in place, which will see them escalating to the most competitive race series.
For the 2013 season, BCR has announced singing up Smaaash and FEI Cargo as its principal sponsors, and Seacret and Reliance Big thrill as associate partners, among others.
With the arrival of the Indian F1, the market has seen a steady penetration of luxury automobiles and increased racing circuits, following which the size of the motorsport industry and related brand activation opportunities are poised to grow exponentially.
