Big FM, PNB, Amrapali dominated Delhi OOH in July

According to Proof of Performance Data Services that allows organisations to plan, monitor and analyse their outdoor campaigns across prime markets, real estate, media, BSFI and education sector invested the most in Delhi during the first fortnight of July 2012.

POPDS monitored 133 routes in Delhi in the first fortnight of July 2012. Real Estate and allied industries category was the most active sector that advertised during this duration. About 35 per cent of the tracked sites were dominated by real estate and allied industries sector which is three percent higher than the previous month.

Following it was the media and entertainment sector which created 14 per cent visibility through these sites. There was a six per cent drop in the outdoor presence that media and entertainment had in June 2012.

Education sector interestingly continued to be seen heavily in the prime locations of Delhi. Twelve per cent of the tracked outdoor media had educational advertisements, slightly higher than last month.

Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) contributed to nine per cent; consumer electronics five per cent; FMCG seven per cent; retailing apparel, fashion and lifestyle six per cent; automobile and ancillaries five per cent, healthcare four per cent and hospitality three per cent.

Punjab National Bank, SBI, Citi Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, LIC, Syndicate Bank, Uco Bank, State Bank of Patiala, Karur Vysya Bank and Muthoot Finance were the top ten brands in the BFSI sector.

Real estate, yet again, dominated Delhi outdoors. According to POPDS, the top brands of the real estate and allied industries were Amrapali, Anant Raj Group, Paras Buildtech, Supertech Group, Parsvnath, Realcraft, Wave, Sunworld, Prateek Group and M3M.

Media and entertainment was seen actively present on the outdoor assets of Delhi. Two radio stations, Big FM and Oye FM were the most advertised media brands during this period. Sony Entertainment, Indian Express, Red Bull Racing, National Duniya, Discovery Channel, Sadhna News, Star Plus and The Week Magazine were the other brands of this sector which were active outdoor.

With the active admission season at its peak; education institutes and allied brands widely used the outdoor space in Delhi. The brands that tapped outdoor advertising from this sector were Ansal University, Sharda University, Samalkha Group of Institutions, Adhna Media Academy, Rotomac, Shobhit University, Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology, SBIT and DITM Group of Institutions.

The group released the Little Hearts online-only campaign, #BreakSomeHearts, early this year and is on the path to make many more of its brands available on the digital platform
