Posterscope, the global OOH agency from the Aegis Media stable, is launching its India operations from Tuesday, September 16, 2008. It will be headquartered in Mumbai, but will be launched simultaneously in the top 32 cities, including metros, mini-metros and Tier I towns. Haresh Nayak, an OOH veteran, will lead Posterscope India. Sushil Pandey will head West & South, while Vinay Goel will lead the North operations.

Posterscope is renowned internationally for its tools, planning abilities and thought leadership in the outdoor industry. The tools are classified under the Prism suite and are the gold standard in outdoor tools.

Ashish Bhasin, Chairman-India & CEO-South East Asia, Aegis Media, said, “Aegis Media is very happy that we have the best outdoor professionals in India to help us launch Posterscope. We will not only be bringing in the latest tools, the famous Prism suite of Posterscope, from the UK, but will also train our people and customize the tools for India. In fact, Haresh leaves for Barcelona later this month, for the Posterscope Global Conference, to ensure that Posterscope India becomes the first company to offer world-class outdoor services in India.”

Annie Rickard, President, Posterscope Worldwide, said, “India is an exciting and strategically important market and we are happy to be launching Posterscope there. The best in class Posterscope tools, insights, best practices and all other resources of our network will be available to Posterscope India from inception.”

Said Nayak, General Manager, Posterscope India, “We have ensured that the team has only the best outdoor specialists, many of whom have international exposure and have worked at the client end. As a matter of policy, we will only hire the best, train them to world standards on our latest tools from the UK and make a difference to the way outdoor business is done in India.”

Posterscope India will bring in a high level of accountability, transparency and professionalism, much required in the Indian outdoor industry. It will work with media owners to bring in the best practices from around the world and will introduce research and data based tools. It will begin by introducing Prism Map, a mapping tool, to map OOH media options from hoarding to street furniture sites in the top 32 cities, says a company statement.

A state-of-the-art monitoring system that allows the use of latest technology is being implemented. Posterscope India will launch five of its top international tools from Prism Suite Prism Plan, Prism Map, Prism Creative, Prism Postar and Prism Monitar.
