AdzEdge reinvents itself; appoints James Varghese as COO

AdzEdge, which till recently was operating as a division within OAP, has embarked on a path of re-defining itself as an independent company and has been re-christened as AdzEdge Communication. James Varghese, an old OAP outdoor war horse, has been appointed as COO of AdzEdge.

Varghese had spent six and a half years with OAP as Senior Vice President for West & South. Commenting on his OAP experience, Varghese said, “(OAP) is a place of learning, with lots of freedom and a well-disciplined atmosphere, and guidance at every step by mentor Abhijit Sengupta.”

Speaking on Varghese’s movement, Abhijit Sengupta, CEO, OAP commented, “I realised that time had come to let go both Adzedge and James to create their own niche in the market. I am very happy for James, and am sure he will fullfill his dream of creating a class outdoor agency.”

Varghese has 18 years of experience in sales and heading profit centers in various companies, including IndusInd Media, Broadcast Worldwide, Hathway Cable & Datacom, Mid Day, Clear Channel India, Prime Outdoor, and OAP.

In his new role at AdzEdge Communication, he seeks to provide solutions which are “OOH Plus”. “It’s not just about measured outdoor plans with the best of rates, but it’s about giving ancillary communication solutions, which are lateral to OOH. I have found out that the clients do not mind taking a combo of such solution from a single source, or rather they are seeking such service,” he added.
