OOH company AD’s World has been doing some interesting work for its client Acer, with whom it has a three-year-old relationship. The agency has created around 300 outlets for Acer as part of the partnership. These outlets, which have a pan India presence, mostly have in-store branding and merchandising. The agency has played a key role in the designing of these outlets.
While the exterior part of these outlets has backlit signage, shutter painting, the interiors have end-to-end wall branding, self-adhesive desktop and laptop shelves, routed logos and etch films.
Ajay Dhawan, Founder and CEO, AD’s World, said, “Today, with the availability of a plethora of brands and proliferation of categories, it is all about specialisation. In such a scenario, it is important to ensure visibility in retail. The need of the hour is to deliver pan India quality deliverables and yet maintain the look and the feel.”
Without changing the format, it was necessary to portray the largeness of the brand (Acer) in these outlets. Elaborating further, Dhawan said, “The retail format was designed in such a way so as to give customers largeness of the brand and arouse in them the curiosity to know about the brand. This exercise has helped Acer in harnessing their relationship with their customers.”
According to Dinesh Nair, Retail Manager, Acer, “In-store branding is integral to a retail set-up. We are quite satisfied with the work that AD’s executed for us. It has definitely benefited us.”
Going forward, Acer has plans to put up around 700 outlets in the future and also concentrate on their existing channel set up besides expanding their retail set up by tying up with organised retail chains.
