AAI invites bids offering ad rights at Coimbatore Airport

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has invited bids under the ‘two-packet’ system offering exclusive ad rights at the Coimbatore Airport. The contract will be awarded for a period of five years to display advertisements on glow signs, hoardings and traffic directional poles. The total advertisement area being offered is 5,316 sq. ft.

The earnest money deposit (EMD) required is Rs 6.44 lakh and the minimum reserve license fee is Rs 10.5 lakh per month.

As per the eligibility criteria, interested parties should have a minimum experience of three years in the ad display business at transportation centres like airports, seaports, railways, bus terminals, etc. Additionally, the applicants should have an annual turnover of more than Rs 63 lakh, 50 per cent of which should be from similar businesses.

Applicants will be required to deposit the applicable EMD through a demand draft or pay order from any nationalised or scheduled bank. The demand draft or pay order should be drawn in favour of AAI, payable at Coimbatore.

Tender documents indicating full details of the license can be obtained on payment of Rs 10,400 from the office of the Airport Director, Airports Authority of India, Civil Aerodrome, Coimbatore, on any working day up to December 13, 2010.

Tender documents, duly completed in all respects, should reach the above address latest by 3 pm on December 14, 2010.The technical bids will be opened on the same day at 3.30 pm.
