AAI invites bids for ad rights at Vijaywada Airport

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has invited bids under the ‘two-packet’ system, offering exclusive display advertisement rights at the Vijayawada Airport. The contract will be awarded for a period of five years on glow signs and hoardings. The total advertisement area being offered is approximately 2,608 sq. ft.

The EMD required is Rs 1.12 lakh, while the minimum reserve license fee per month is Rs 2.55 lakh. The requirements indicated in the tender are for glow sign boards, hoardings – both single faced and double faced.

Interested parties should have a minimum experience of two years in the ad display business at transportation centres, airports, seaports, railways as a whole, bus terminal including bus shelters and public places. Interested parties should have an annual turnover of Rs 15.30 lakh from advertisement businesses.

Applicants will be required to submit the EMD through a demand draft or pay order from any nationalised or scheduled bank. The demand draft or pay order should be drawn in favour of: Airport Authority of India, payable at Chennai.

Tender documents, indicating full details of the license, can be obtained on payment of Rs 3,435 from the office of the Airport Controller, Airports Authority of India, Vijayawada Airport, Vijayawada, on any working day between 10 am and 5 pm, between August 30 and September 8, 2010.

Tender forms can also be downloaded from the website. Tenders submitted via the forms downloaded from the website shall be considered valid, provided the cost of the tender form is paid on or before last date of submission of the tender.

Tender forms duly completed in all respects should be submitted latest by 3 pm on September 9, 2010.The technical bids will be opened on the same day at 3.30 pm.
