TWI to make India the production base

TWI India, the television arm of sports and lifestyle marketing company IMG, is planning to make India the production base for its operations in the rest of Asia.

According to sources, TWI India will be looking to display its expertise in markets like Korea, Malaysia and China. This will involve employees from India working in these markets for a while. The work done in these markets will centre around cricket, golf and fashion. The work will involve producing shows and events from scratch to finish. IMG/TWI India will continue its focus on golf, bowling, tennis and the fashion business.

Meanwhile IMG in a statement said Mr Krishnan had been appointed as its managing director of IMG/TWI South Asia. “He will be in charge of the complete gamut of activities under the IMG/TWI banner in the region which will include sports, fashion and lifestyle events, client management, coprporate representation and television programming for TWI,” the official said.
