Trends on mobile marketing discuused at FMCC ‘Mobile Marketing and Advertising Workshop’

The workshop organised by Futuristix Media Communication Centre (FMCC) on ‘Mobile Marketing and Advertising’ stressed on the trends in marketing through mobile. The workshop was powered by Active Media Technology. FMCC is a premier advertising, media and communication Institute of New Delhi.

The objective of the one-day workshop was to familiarise the participants with the changing mobile marketing trends, and training them with the skills required to be effective and efficient in the arena of mobile marketing and advertising.

“The fondness for the mobile is very high in India. The propensity to react to campaigns, which are conducted using the mobile as the medium, is quite high,” said Raj Singh, Co-founder and Executive Director, ActiveMedia Technology. He added that the mobile has been a useful tool in revenue generation as seen in reality television shows like ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati.’

Ramesh Kumar, Deputy Chairman, Mobile Marketing Association, UK, said that Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) is the new code of conduct in the market. That is a benchmark that provides authenticity to mobile users. Forty countries are members of this association, including India.

Shekhar Sharma, General Manager, India Today Group Digital, provided information on how to provide all that customers want. He also said that the current scenario is all about brand awareness through mobile marketing.

The workshop was conducted with the help of professional trainers and industry experts. The workshop also had speakers like Tushar Vyas, National Director-Interaction, GroupM India; Anurag Batra, Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief, exchange4media; Shaswati Saradar, Senior Media Manager, Maruti; and Sujai Srivastava, Business Manager and Brand Team Leader, Reliance Communication Ltd.

This workshop brought together creators, marketers and distributors of wireless media from all parts of the country with leading international experts to disseminate information. It also focussed on the impact of wireless technologies in businesses today, strategies to ensure smooth introduction of a mobile marketing campaign, and managing and evaluating a successful mobile marketing campaign.
