The Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, is organising the Annual IT Management Seminar (AIMS) 2005 at the campus on August 20-21, 2005. The event is supported by NASSCOM and is sponsored by Tata Consultancy Services and Satyam.
This seminar will present a platform for top IT and consulting gurus in the country to share their experiences and learnings with their industry peers and MBA students, who aspire to become globally-aware and technically-skilled managers and entrepreneurs.
AIMS ’05 will also set the stage for an exhibition of Mobilis, ‘the new face of anytime anywhere affordable computing’ by Encore Software, the brains behind the revolutionary Simputer. Participants of AIMS will be given a free demonstration of Mobilis and its various features.
The eminent speakers at the conclave would address the theme of the seminar – ‘IT India: Crossing the Chasm’. Ajit Balakrishnan, Founder & CEO, Rediff.com, would provide his inputs on ‘Entrepreneurship in E-business, Current Challenges and Future Perspectives’.
AIMS will also see a talk on the major challenges faced by today’s outsoucing vendors by Aruna Jayanthi, VP and Head of Outsourcing, Cap Gemini. Jessie Paul, the new Chief Marketing Officer from Wipro Technologies, will share her experiences in marketing of IT solutions.
Vinay Deshpande, CEO, Encore Technologies and Chairman, Simputer Trust, will deliver a talk on New Market Development and Marketing. Cognizant Technology Solutions’ Sriniketh Raman will highlight the next big steps in offshore IT. Anjani Mandal, Head, Financial Services Division, TechSpan, will throw light on medium sized niche services company in the IT spectrum.
A national level paper presentation competition also is being conducted as part of AIMS and has received good response from B-schools all over the country. The shortlisted teams would be given a chance to present their papers in front of an eminent panel.
