Rx Awards 2008: Indian agencies bag three Golds and four Silvers

The Rx Club, which recognises communication excellence in the field of healthcare, has recently announced the winners of this year’s Awards. Indian entries that feature in the list of award winners include RK Swamy BBDO, McCann Healthcare Mumbai, Sorento Healthcare Communications, Euro RSCG India and Aakanksha HealthCare. In all, Indian agencies’ haul included three Golds, four Silvers and 57 ‘Awards of Excellence’.

The RX Club Show is a New York-based international award brand that honours creativity in the field of healthcare advertising. The show is judged in various categories by a panel of industry experts and is based solely on creative concept and execution.

Twenty-two entries of Pharmadirection, the Mumbai-based specialist pharma unit of RK Swamy BBDO, were recognised under the ‘Awards of Excellence’ category. The agency campaign, titled ‘Demon on head’, for client Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd, won a Gold.

McCann Healthcare Mumbai bagged a Gold and Silver for their campaigns titled ‘Diabetes – blood’ and ‘Lose weight - Blue’, respectively. Sorento Healthcare Communications bagged a Gold and Silver for their works on ‘Bald Man’ for Piramal Healthcare and ‘Baby’ for Wockhardt, respectively.

Five entries of McCann Healthcare Mumbai, were also recognised under the ‘Awards of Excellence’ category, while Sorento Healthcare Communications had seven ‘Awards of Excellence’.

Euro RSCG India had three ‘Awards of Excellence’. The agency also bagged a Silver for their campaign on ‘For the SweetHeart (Viral)’ for their client Sanofi-Aventis India. Aakanksha Healthcare, too, bagged a silver for Sun Pharma, titled ‘Aztor Poster Campaign’. The agency had 15 entries in the ‘Awards of Excellence’ category.

Mudra Health & Lifestyle had five entries in the ‘Awards of Excellence’ category, unlike last year, where it had bagged two Silvers and had nine ‘Awards of Excellence’.
