Ravi Chavan named Repucom’s Vice President, South Asia

Repucom has announced the appointment of Ravi Chavan as Vice President, South Asia.


Chavan will be based in Mumbai and will lead the company’s expanding South Asian business across India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.


Chavan joins Repucom as a seasoned international marketer, bringing with him a wealth of experience across the sports, events, media, brands and data analytics landscape. In a career spanning over 12 years, Chavan has worked closely with high profile clients, addressing complex strategic marketing briefs and driving successful executions across both Asia and Europe.


Previously, Chavan spent three years with Repucom as a member of its Global Enterprise Services team in Cologne, Germany, overseeing several client relationships and providing commercial consultancy services to some of the organisation’s biggest partners including the English Premier League.


On his appointment, Chavan, said: “I’m delighted to be rejoining Repucom and look forward to working with the team in India as well as the organisation’s extensive network of global experts.


“Repucom is an ever evolving company, always reacting to how best support its growing list of clients. Providing consultative solutions and helping to advise partners on the best ways to increase their revenues in both sport and entertainment is a great draw for me and I look forward to once again being a part of the team.


“The Indian Premier League (IPL) and the Indian Super League (ISL) continue to drive the growing demand for sport across the region and my charge will be to continue to develop our portfolio across South Asia in what is an increasingly diverse and exciting market”.


Chavan will join Repucom from Octagon, where he spent close to three years in Brussels as a Strategy and Insights consultant.


Having managed a wide range of strategic initiatives to help clients develop and optimise their sponsorship marketing portfolio and consumer engagement framework, including ROI and ROO measurement, Chavan’s expertise also includes campaign planning, activations and brand ambassadors programme development.
