Radio Mirchi, Zee News up the ante for the Taj Mahal

Have you voted for the Taj yet? If not, Radio Mirchi along with IMCL-Bhaskar group is launching a nationwide campaign to encourage people to vote for the Taj Mahal as much as possible in an effort to get the Taj its due place in the new list of Seven Wonders of the World.

Zee News and Zee Business have also started a similar campaign called ‘Mera Taj Mahan’.

The results of the New Seven Wonders of the World global poll would be announced on July 7 in Portugal.

Kaushik Ghosh, Senior Vice-President, Marketing, Radio Mirchi, said, “Radio Mirchi has always been a station for the people of India. We aim to encourage all Indians to join hands to win top honours for our national heritage and the monument of love – the Taj Mahal.”

The campaign by Mirchi has been launched simultaneously across all the 17 stations since June 21 and would continue till July 7. It has a plethora of activities to urge all Indians to vote for this enduring monument.

Music maestro A R Rahman’s ode to the Taj, ‘Ek Mahobbat’, will be premiered on Mirchi. Not only that, Rahman will give an exclusive interview to Radio Mirchi on the making of the music. All Mirchi stations will also air bytes from Bollywood stars appealing to listeners to join the campaign. Both Zee News and Radio Mirchi would urge their audience to SMS and vote for Taj.

Zee News and Zee Business will go live to capture all the excitement of the contest in Lisbon, Portugal. The channels will air the post-contest analysis on the morning of July 8. Both the channels will also frequently air the promotional theme video

composed by Rahman. Besides, the network will feature interviews with Rahman and Owais Hussain. The campaign will also run stories pertaining to the Taj Mahal.
