Promodome Communications forays into film production with ‘Jugaad’

Promodome Group is venturing into Hindi feature films, with its new company Promodome Films launching its first feature film ‘Jugaad’. As is known, Promodome Group is the parent company of advertising agency Promodome Communications, Promodome Entertainment and now, Promodome Films.

According to Sanddeep Kapur, CEO, Promodome Group, “We have been a consistent player in the advertising world for the past 10 years. With our foray into films, we are looking at creating a new niche for the Group. Besides ‘Jugaad’, we have three more projects lined up. We are hoping to produce at least five or more films by 2009. We aim at becoming one of the leading film production houses from New Delhi.”

Anand Kumar of ‘Delhi Heights’ fame will direct ‘Jugaad’, and the star cast of the film includes actors like Manoj Bajpai and Chunkey Pandey. The shooting of the film will commence by early December this year, and is expected to be in theatres by February-March 2008. Kapur informed that the work on the second film would commence by the end of fourth quarter of this calendar year. It will be a big-budget project and the film will be shot extensively in London and in Banaras.

Apart from feature films, the new company will also be focusing on making quality documentaries for different TV channels across the globe. The promotions for ‘Jugaad’ will commence from December-end and it will be done hugely through print and television. Music, recorded with Tips, will be released by early January 2008.

The Group has seen substantial growth in last two years. Currently Promodome has offices in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Jaipur, and has plans to open offices in Chandigarh and Kolkata by January 2008. Some of the clients handled by Promodome include Intel, Microsoft, CII, Technopak, Maruti Suzuki, Uni Style Image, ING Vysya, Mercedes Benz, Giovani, Fuji Films, Delhi Tourism, Delhi Police, Jaipur Development Authority and Alpine, among others.


Kranti Gada joined the family business at Shemaroo in 2006 after a successful stint of over two years in marketing at Pepsi Co. She has been associated with the company for 12 years.
