After parting ways with The Media Edge, the media arm of Rediffusion DY&R as Group Head (Media Buying), Prasanth Kumar is all ready to take over his new responsibilities at Universal McCann as Associate Media Director. He will be reporting to Srinivas Prabhu, VP Media, Universal McCann.
About his new venture, Kumar says, “It is a better option. I was an all India Television Buying Head at Media edge but here the exposure is wider. I will be in charge of planning for all clients and for all media. So the challenge is bigger."
How has experience with Media Edge been? “It has been a rewarding and learning experience and one that has offered plenty of opportunities and growth,” he says.
Kumar has been with the media arm for around five years and has been responsible for television buying for various clients such as Parle, Colgate Palmolive, Tata and Rasna. Prior to this, Kumar was working in The Hindu as Advertising Officer and his mandate revolved around the sales and marketing arena.
