Ravi Rao, Leader South Asia, Mindshare has been elected as the new Chairman of Media Research Users Council (MRUC) for the year 2013-14. Prior to this, he had served as Vice-Chairman of the Council. The decision was taken at the Annual General Meeting held in Mumbai on September 24. Rao takes charge from outgoing Chairman Ravindra Kumar of The Statesman.
MRUC has also inducted Benoy Roy Chowdhury, Executive Director, HT Media; Arun Anant, CEO, The Hindu; and Hormusji N Cama, Director, Bombay Samachar into the 24-member Board of Governors. Cama had previously served as the MRUC Chairman in 2011-12.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that Prashant Pandey, CEO, ENIL has been nominated as Vice-Chairman.
