Mediaguru helping QC Group launch Bangladesh’s first news channel

Media consultancy company Mediaguru is helping Bangladesh-based QC Group to launch Bangladesh’s first 24-hour television news channel. The channel, to be named CSB (Chrono Satellite Broadcast), will be launched in December this year.

“We are managing everything for the company starting with the feasibility study. We are starting a one-month training programme for 225 personnel from October 28, 2006. We have partnered with TAG for the look and feel of the channel,” said Sanjay Salil, Managing Director, Mediaguru.

“This is the first big venture by Mediaguru out of India. We have 4-5 other overseas projects in the pipeline. We are working overtime on this project to launch it in the shortest possible span of time,” Salil added.

Mediaguru recently helped the Malayala Manorama group to launch its news channel, Manorama TV, on August 17.

QC Group is one of the leading names in the shipping industry in Bangladesh. It is also a well known player in trading, transport and logistics throughout the Pacific and Trans-Atlantic regions.
