Manajit Ghoshal turns entrepreneur again; sets up his own company

Manajit Ghoshal, former MD & CEO, Mid Day Multimedia has floated a new company named Media Lounge along with his friend and owner of Ronak Advertising, Amardeep Singh Vig.

Speaking to exchange4media, Ghoshal said, “Media Lounge has been floated with the idea of creating a full service agency, which has companies specialising in media buying, digital media, creative services, event management, public relations services, running exhibition centres and conducting media courses. We are planning a pan-India presence and will look at mergers and acquisitions.”

Vig added here, “Ronak Advertising is the No. 1 advertising agency in Navi Mumbai. We now plan to go pan-India and develop into a full service agency with all the verticals. We will grow both organically and inorganically. With the strength of Ronak Advertising and Manajit Ghoshal on board as MD & CEO of the new company, we are confident that we will grow fast and achieve our goals.”

Ghoshal had quit Mid Day to join Viking Ventures as Group CEO in April 2013. He had worked in varied sectors, including auditing, consulting, software and pharmaceuticals, before joining Mid Day Multimedia. Ghoshal began his career in 1994 with KPMG Group and went on to work with Cadbury. He started his own dotcom venture in 2000 before foraying into mainstream media industry.
