In a recent development, FCB Ulka's media buying arm, Lodestar, Delhi, has been awarded real estate construction major Unitech's media account. For a while, the account was serviced by Mindshare.
Confirming the movement, Paramita Sengupta, Senior Manager, Corporate Communications, Unitech Ltd., said, "We expect very high level of services from Lodestar as we are launching a couple of residential and commercial projects this year." Sengupta claimed that the account is worth up to Rs 6 crore.
It is reliably learnt from industry sources that the Unitech media account was previously worth Rs 3 crore.
The creative part of Unitech's advertising is divided in the ratio of 35 to 65, between their in-house design and architectural wing at Hong Kong and Shivjeet Kullar's K-Factor, which handles the major part of it.
Gurpreet Singh, Media Controller, Lodestar, said, "We are a very strong strategic company and the client was looking for complete strategic solutions on media." Lodestar also does the media planning and buying for Whirpool, Usha International, Bausch & Lomb and HCL.
